Breeders of Miniature Dachshunds - Since 2001

New Mexico

The Boylan family is located in central New Mexico, near Albuquerque, in an area referred to as the East Mountains. We are in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, at the end of the Rockies. We are blessed to have lots of sunshine, low humidity, and moderate winters. The people here are warm, giving and rugged – much like the land. Our family began in Eastern Iowa where we raised our two children until they were 11 and 15 years old. At the farm in Iowa, we were very involved with dog services, offering boarding and grooming in addition to raising our dachshunds. We also had a plant nursery which began as a rose and berry farm. We led a very busy life, but it was full of love. In 2010, we had a great opportunity to move to  the American Southwest so that we could focus on our website design company, GetNoticedWebs.com, and our doxies. We are blessed to have our dachshunds as part of our family and thoroughly enjoy the experience of raising each litter of puppies.

As responsible AKC Long Haired Miniature Dachshund Breeders, we are committed to breeding Dachshunds of sound mind, health, temperament, and body. Our goal as Mini Long Haired Dachshund breeders is to focus our breeding efforts on bringing back more of the dachshunds German heritage. What we mean by this, is we focus on breeding a Doxie (Dackel or Teckel) that is thicker in the body, more stout, and tends to have a broader muzzle. The Dachshund puppies we provide for our adoptive families, are individually unique, healthy, happy Doxies. They are the type of puppy you can love and embrace into your home quickly. Just like little children, the more you put into their care - the more they blossom!

Always remember, if any Dachshund breeder balks or is vague at answering your questions, that tells you something is most likely wrong. Real breeders need to have goals and absolute standards. So, ask lots and lots of questions. The key to our adoptions is that we get to know and trust each other. That means a couple phone calls will always be required.
