Just a note to tell you how happy we are that Rosie is now part of our family. She is the cutest little thing you ever saw and is just as loving as can be. She has such a nice disposition that it is fun being around her. She is active and playful without being hyper and is very intelligent and understands and usually minds commands--once in awhile she just cannot "stay" another second because her mind is on the treat she gets for obeying.
Although intended to be my companion in my old age, she has become more closely attached to my adult son. They go jogging and kayaking together. She loves to be active and will run in circles just to be running sometimes, so it is good that they hooked up because at my age, I do not intend to jog or run anywhere. When she just wants some quiet loving or more quiet play, we spend quality time. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard--she runs and I garden.
I cannot more highly recommend a breed of dog for a companion and pet than I do the miniature dachshunds. My 93-year old mother has one which is the reason I settled on this breed for our pet.
They are a joy to be with and a heck of a lot of fun, too.
I thank you for bringing beautiful, healthy, and loving dogs like Rosie into the world.
