We have had many loving dachies over the past 25 years. Sadly, we made some
poor choices along the way. We always thought choosing a dog was as simple
as finding someone that sells them. Because of that we lost pets due to
poor breeding which led to seizures, Addison's disease, and early onset of
spinal deterioration. However, we were also fortunate to have had two
wonderful dachies that lived for fourteen years and were a total joy to us.
We didn't think we could replace these dogs, but once you've been a "dachie
family" it is an empty house without them. So, we decided to really
investigate our choices before purchasing our latest little girl, and we are
so glad we found the "Boylan's."
From our first conversation, I knew that Bob and Lori had the "heart and
love" for their animals that we were searching for in a breeder. They also
had the educational understanding of their dogs and the drive to be
successful with their "line." I was so impressed that they wouldn't just
give up a pup without knowing us as a family. This told me that they had a
deeper interest in their dogs than just making money.
Our little Gracie has been the best dachshund we have ever owned. She grew
up in her first weeks with the Boylan's children who obviously had a great
impact on her socialization. She loves all people, and all animals she
meets. Her nature is so gentle and loving and has been that way from the
very beginning. At almost five months, she has learned many "commands"
which have shaped her into a real obedient little pup. She surprises us
daily with her ability to catch on to simple words and routines. I just
can't say enough about our experiences with her.
Bob said he wants to be known as one of the best dachshund breeders around
and I have to say he is doing quite well. I would highly recommend this
family to you if you love dachshunds and are serious about making one a part
of your family.
